Accreditation Standards & Guidelines

PMCWA is the prevocational training accreditation authority endorsed by the Australian Medical Council (AMC) to assess prevocational training programs across Western Australia (WA). The assessment of prevocational training programs is against the AMC Accreditation Standards.

The National Standards refer to the following additional documents:

• Training and Assessment requirements for prevocational (PGY1 and PGY2) training programs
• Medical Board of Australia's registration standard granting general registration as a medical practitioner to Australian and New Zealand medical graduates on completion of postgraduate year one training

PMCWA undertake accreditation reviews of each individual term and of the health site as a whole and have allocated standards as such:
