About PMCWA

The Postgraduate Medical Council of Western Australia (PMCWA) is the organisation responsible for accrediting the terms that interns and residents rotate through to ensure they provide adequate support, supervision, education and clinical experience. In addition, PMCWA supports the wellbeing, development and career progression of junior doctors (JMOs) as they commence their work within the medical system in Western Australia. We endeavour to do this through 4 pillars of work:

  • Accreditation
  • Education & Supervision
  • Career Transition & Support
  • Leadership & Governance

PMCWA works closely with a number of committees and reference groups as part of our governance process supported by the secretariat working to maintain our 4 pillars.
