Why is There a New Framework?
With less than a year until the ‘Go Live’ date, it is timely to reflect on why the new Framework is being implemented. The Framework includes a longitudinal approach, focusing on tracking progression over time with the inclusion of PGY2 to the Framework and introduction of EPAs. It provides more flexibility to learn in different settings and will improve national consistency, including an increased focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and junior doctor wellbeing and supervision.
